Air India Launches Direct Flight Between India and Italy: Schedule Here

Air India, the Indian full-service carrier owned by the Tata Group, has expanded its European footprint with the launch of a four-times-a-week non-stop flight from Delhi to Milan on February 1, 2023. The airline will soon begin operations from Delhi to Vienna and Copenhagen, increasing its reach in Europe. The flight from Delhi to Milan operates on Wednesdays, Fridays, Sundays, and Mondays, departing Delhi at 14:20 hrs. and arriving in Milan at 18:30 hrs. local time.

The return flight from Milan to Delhi departs at 20:00 hrs. and arrives at 08:00 hrs. the next day. The flights are operated by next-generation B787-8 Dreamliner aircraft and offer 18 Business Class and 238 Economy Class seats.

Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India, said that the launch of the flight to Milan is a key element of the airline’s five-year transformation plan, Vihaan.AI, and will strengthen India’s global network. He added that the airline looks forward to welcoming guests and sharing its warm Indian hospitality with them.

The resumption of the Delhi-Milan flight is part of Air India’s expansion plans, which include serving seven cities in Europe with 79 weekly non-stop flights, 48 to the United Kingdom and 31 to Continental Europe. The airline is continuing to augment its fleet with leased aircraft and returning existing aircraft to active service. The non-stop service will benefit tourists, business travelers, and the Indian and Italian diaspora.
