Celebrity chef’s delicious Kerala curry recipe

Celebrity chef Suresh Pillai recently shared recipe of ‘Venad Pal Konch’, Kerala’s traditional prawn curry on his Instagram post. Mr.Pillai shared this recipe after getting many inquiries from various corners seeking the recipe of this delicious Kerala Curry.

Ingredients:

Cleaned medium Prawns -500gm
Turmeric powder- 5gm
Crushed black pepper – 15gm
Chilly flakes – 15gm
Coconut oil -15ml
Sea salt -to taste
Whole garlic crushed with skin – 6
In a bowl mix all the ingredients together with the prawns and keep it for 20 minutes.

Coconut milk Thick – 20ml
Coconut oil – 10ml
Chopped curry leaves – few
In a bowl mix well all ingredients and keep aside

For grilling
Green chilies slitted – 3
Ginger Juliane – 15gm
Oil -10ml

Heat a frying pan add oil and place the prawns add crushed garlic, green chilies and ginger, on a medium heat cook for two minutes, turn down the prawns and toss well and cook for a minute sprinkle the coconut milk mixture evenly in the pan and mix well and cook till all masalas coated well in the prawns and serve hot.
