Emirates begins London flights

Dubai carrier Emirates on Wednesday started operating three daily flights between Dubai and London Heathrow. The airline also announced that it would gradually increase its U.K operations in August and September and by the middle of Octobr, the airline will have 73 weekly flights to the UK including six daily flights to London Heathrow.

The other operations are double daily A380 flights to Manchester, ten weekly services to Birmingham and daily services to Glasgow, the Emirates said in a statement.

”With the recent announcements of the UAE easing entry protocols for 12 countries, and the UK adding the UAE on its ‘amber list’, Emirates is actively responding to the spike in travel demand across its network to make it easier for customers to connect to Dubai and beyond through the scaling up of its operations.” the statement said.

Earlier on August 5, the UAE had allowed passengers traffic from India to and through Dubai after a long gap given that they have a valid COVID-19 test certificate issued within 48 hours between the time of sample collection and scheduled flight departure.

It also lifted travel ban on Pakistan, Nigeria,Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Uganda.
