Legendary Argentinean footballer Diego Maradona has died aged 60, his spokesman announced Wednesday, a report by AFP said.

Maradona had earlier undergone an emergency operation to remove a blood clot from his brain.
According to Argentinian media, he suffered a heart attack at his home in the outskirts of Buenos Aires on Wednesday.
