Highly infectious Indian ‘double mutant’ Covid variant: Ayurveda doctor shares tips to disinfect surroundings
Warning messages are being shared on media to make the public aware of the highly infectious Indian variant of the virus, classified as B.1.617 variant which is spreading dangerously across the country.
Being referred to as the reason for the second wave of Covid-19 spread, scientists also warn B.1.617 is more dangerous and spreading faster compared to the previous variant.
Now, a Kerala ayurvedic doctor ,Dr.Shabu Pattambi shares some of the Ayurvedic Tips on his facebook post to make people aware of the impact of the new double mutant virus and gives some tips to them how to stay away from this dangerous variant.
He urges people to keep physical distancing and wearing masks.
The doctor tells them to apply Ayurveda disinfecting methods to make the surroundings clean in order to stop air-bone transmissions.
He also shared an Ayurveda remedy called ”Dhoomapanam” which helps disinfect the surroundings by heating the disinfecting medicines in an ember.
Here is the procedure for disinfecting the surroundings shared by Dr.Shabu Pattambi:
- Garlic leaves (Allium Sativum)
- Curcuma longa or turmeric powder
- Canola (Brassica Campestris)
- Curry leaves (Azdiracta indica)
How to prepare:
Mix the aforesaid ingredients in ghee and heat the mixture in the ember. The smoke which emanates from the ember has disinfectant, anti viral properties and is very beneficial in purifying the surroundings as well as the internal organs.
Therefore in this time of pandemic, this method of purifying the air inside and outside home is immensely beneficial in keeping our surroundings disinfected.
When talking about communicable diseases, Ayurveda also emphasizes the importance of purifying the polluted air as a very effective remedial measure.
