Indian state Tripura declared Coronavirus free
Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has claimed that his state has turned COVID-19 free after two positive cases recovered from the deadly disease.
He said “Tripura has become coronavirus free after the recovery of the 2nd case. Two cases were recorded in the state, the first case had recovered earlier and the second patient has also been discharged after testing negative in repeat tests. After Manipur and Goa Tripura has become third COVID-19 free state.”
Although the states has currently succeeded in containing the virus, Chief minister insisted everyone to follow social distancing as promulgated by Government to curb further spread.
While addressing the state after achieving the goal of being a virus free state , delighted Biplab Kumar Deb thanked all the doctors, healthcare staff, frontline warriors and citizens for freeing Tripura from the novel coronavirus pandemic.
The Chief Minister also shared a two minute long video message, addressing the long battle against Covid-19.
This is the third state in the country that has been declared coronavirus free after the lockdown started from March 24. Earlier Manipur and Goa had announced that they have recovered from the dreadful coronavirus.
