Italian scientists claim ‘developed world’s first coronavirus vaccine’

Italy claims that their scientists have successfully developed world’s first coronavirus vaccine to contain the deadly Covid-19 disease. They expected to be effective on humans in containing the coronavirus infection.

According to the report, tests carried out at Rome’s infectious-disease Spallanzani Hospital have proved that  the antibodies that generated in mice after vaccinating them have worked on human cells too.However, human tests are expected to be conducted after this summer.

The Scientists claim that the antibodies developed in mice after vaccinating them have  blocked the virus from infecting cells. A large number of antibodies have generated through five vaccine candidates. Report said. According to the findings, the vaccine candidates could adapt to any COVID-19 evolution and its possible mutations.

One of the worst hit countries, Italy has confirmed that 29,315 deaths have registered in the Country. However after relaxing nearly two months of lockdown about 4.5 million people had returned to work in the country on Monday.

The novel coronavirus has claimed 2,53,974 lives globally, and has infected more than 3.5 million people.
