Lufthansa Announces India-Germany Flights Schedule Till 31st December

German carrier Lufthansa , which is assigned to operate flights between India and Germany under air bubble agreement, on Saturday announced the new flights schedule until 31st December.

Earlier,Lufthansa had agreed to reduce the number of flights in order to overcome the differences with India that led both countries to cancel their national carrier’s operations.

Accordingly, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri tweeted that India and Germany has decided to resume flights under air bubble agreement. Lufthansa will operate from Delhi (4 days), Mumbai (3 days) & Bengaluru (3 days) and the Air India will operate 5 weekly flights from Delhi & 2 every week from Bengaluru to Frankfurt.

According to the schedule posted by the airlines on Saturday, it will operate 10 flights — four to and from Delhi, three to and from Mumbai, and the other three to and from Bengaluru.

The airlines can fly following categories of persons on such flights:

  • Diplomats and Foreign Nationals (Holder of a valid Indian Visa and not OCI card) enjoy unrestricted travel between India and any destination on the Lufthansa Group Network
  • Otherwise, travel on Lufthansa is limited between EU/Schengen, South America, and Africa to and from India with the exception of the category of seamen.
