Prime Minister Narendra Modi holds meeting with Nirmala Sitharaman, Amit Shah on the preparation of 2nd economic stimulus package

According to sources Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday held meetings with Home Minister Amit Shah and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman. After the meeting three of them met with other ministers including civil aviation, labor and power and officials of economic ministries.

Prime minister convened the meeting in order to stabilize the process of developing a second stimulus package which is being prepared to rejuvenate the sectors which faced serious trouble due to the lockdown, imposed to curb the spread of coronavirus.

It is also reported that the Prime minister would meet Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) ministry officials for hastening the economic process which is at an impasse due to the lockdown.

Earlier it was reported that under the leadership of Finance minister Nirmala Sitharam central government is preparing a second stimulus package aiming to provide financial help to MSME and agricultural sector in the form of tax relaxation and loans.

It was on March 26, Central Government has announced its first relief package of Rs. 1.7 lakh crore to help poor and health workers amid COVID-19 lock down.
