Sania Mirza to attend International Yoga Day in Abu Dhabi as guest of honour

The International Yoga Day 2025 to be held in Abu Dhabi on June 21 will feature Indian tennis player Sania Mirza as the guest of honour, a Gulf News report said.
The free-to-attend mega event, organised by the Indian embassy in collaboration with the Abu Dhabi Sports Council, will be held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The registration for the event has already started at the embassy.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, will be the chief guest at the event. The event will be held under the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health’, as announced by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this year.

The embassy, in its X post, has urged participants to provide basic details such as their name, age, nationality, Emirates ID number, contact information, T-shirt size, and more during the registration. All participants will receive yoga mats, IDY T-shirts, water bottles, and refreshments.
Sania Mirza, an ardent practitioner of yoga, stressed the importance of being healthy while sharing her International Yoga Day wishes.
