‘Stay indoors, stay healthy’: PM appeals to people in a tweet ahead of Janata Curfew
Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to the people, in a tweet just before the Janata Curfew began across the country, to observe the self-imposed quarantine, in a collective fight against Covid-19 as the number of cases in the country reached over 300.
“In a few minutes from now, the #JantaCurfew commences. Let us all be a part of this curfew, which will add tremendous strength to the fight against COVID-19 menace,” the Prime Minister tweeted.
“The steps we take now will help in the times to come. Stay indoors and stay healthy,” he wrote with hashtag #IndiaFightsCorona.
The curfew started at 7am on Sunday across the country as scheduled and will continue till 9pm and people are required to stay indoors during this period.
In a few minutes from now, the #JantaCurfew commences.
