Swiss to Start New India-Switzerland Direct Service From October, Check Route, Schedule

In a major boost for international travellers from South India, Swiss International Air Lines has announced the launch of nonstop flights between Bengaluru and Zurich as part of its 2026-27 winter schedule expansion.
The new service will begin from October and will operate five times a week, marking the airline’s first-ever direct connection to Bengaluru. With the addition of the route, Bengaluru becomes the airline’s third destination in India after Delhi and Mumbai.
The direct connection is expected to significantly reduce travel time for passengers flying between India’s technology hub and Switzerland, while also offering easier access to several European destinations through Zurich.
The airline plans to deploy modern aircraft on the route as it continues expanding its long-haul operations. The move is also seen as an effort to tap growing business and leisure travel demand from Bengaluru and nearby regions.
Zurich serves as a major European transit hub, connecting travellers to destinations across Europe and North America. The new nonstop route is likely to benefit corporate travellers, students, tourists and the Indian diaspora travelling frequently to Europe.
The airline has also been expanding the use of Airbus A350 aircraft across its network as part of its fleet modernisation strategy.
