Uttarakhand Government Issues Advisory for Devotees Visiting Kedarnath Dham During Char Dham Yatra

The Uttarakhand government has issued an advisory for all devotees planning to visit Kedarnath Dham as part of the Char Dham Yatra. The government has urged devotees to exercise caution and start their journey only after checking the weather forecast, in light of the recent snowfall and rain in the area.

According to the advisory, intermittent rain and snowfall are continuing in Kedarnath Dham, and all devotees, both from India and abroad, have been advised to carry enough warm clothes to cope with the cold weather. The Uttarakhand Director General of Police (DGP), Ashok Kumar, has also urged pilgrims to be alert and cautious during their journey.

The state government has made adequate health arrangements on all travel routes and has advised passengers to visit the nearest health centre if their health deteriorates during the journey. The government is determined to make the Char Dham Yatra smooth, safe, and uninterrupted for devotees. The travel arrangements are being monitored regularly from a higher level to ensure the safety and security of the pilgrims.

On the auspicious occasion of Akshay Tritiya, the Char Dham Yatra began on Saturday. The state government is making every possible effort to make the yatra safe and comfortable for the devotees. The pilgrims will receive the best health services on the yatra route.

The Health Secretary, Dr R.K. Rajesh Kumar, has inspected health units at various places along the route, taking stock of the health services provided during the journey. The Health Department has made complete preparations for the Char Dham Yatra, with guidelines issued for the journey. Travellers have been advised to acclimatize their bodies to the mountain weather during the journey.

The government welcomes all the pilgrims coming for the yatra, but at the same time, there is an appeal to mention any diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, etc., especially for those above 55 years of age. The government will monitor such devotees through 104.
